الأستاذ الدكتور محمد سعيد خنبش شخصية أكاديمية بارزة ورئيس جامعة حضرموت في اليمن. حصل على درجة الدكتوراه في تخصص النحل من أكاديمية العلوم في المجر بين عامي 1986 و1989، ودرجة الماجستير من جامعة دبرتسن في المجر أيضًا في تخصص النحل. بدأ مشواره الأكاديمي كمعيد في كلية الزراعة بجامعة عدن في 1981، وتدرج في المناصب الأكاديمية حتى أصبح أستاذًا في كلية العلوم التطبيقية بجامعة حضرموت، كما شغل منصب أستاذ بكلية علوم الأغذية والزراعة في جامعة الملك سعود بين عامي 2008 و2009.
بالإضافة إلى دوره الأكاديمي، شغل الدكتور خنبش العديد من المناصب الإدارية في الجامعات، حيث كان نائب عميد كلية الزراعة بجامعة عدن ومدير مركز الاستشارات الزراعية فيها، وكذلك رئيس قسم التنوع الحيوي بمركز البيئة بجامعة عدن. في جامعة حضرموت، كان مديرًا لمركز نحل العسل، ومديرًا لمركز النخيل والتمور، وعميد كلية البيئة والأحياء البحرية. ومنذ عام 2012، يشغل منصب رئيس جامعة حضرموت.
تميز الدكتور خنبش في مجال أبحاث النحل وتربية النحل، حيث نشر أكثر من 120 ورقة علمية وألّف 9 كتب في هذا المجال، منها “نحل العسل والنحالة في اليمن” و”تربية النحل وإنتاج العسل في اليمن”. كما شارك في إعداد الخطة الاستراتيجية للنهوض بتربية النحل في المملكة العربية السعودية، وشارك في أكثر من 80 مؤتمر وندوة علمية محلية ودولية. حصل على العديد من الجوائز، منها جائزة جامعة عدن لتشجيع البحث العلمي وجائزة محافظة حضرموت للإبداع العلمي.
Dr. Mohammed Saeed Khanbash is a prominent academic figure and the President of Hadhramout University in Yemen. He earned his Ph.D. in bee studies from the Academy of Sciences in Hungary between 1986 and 1989, and his master’s degree from Debrecen University in Hungary, also in bee studies. He began his academic career as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Aden, in 1981, and progressed through various academic positions to become a professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Hadhramout University. He also served as a professor at the College of Food and Agriculture Sciences at King Saud University between 2008 and 2009.
In addition to his academic role, Dr. Khanbash held numerous administrative positions at universities. He served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Aden, Director of the Agricultural Consulting Center there, and Head of the Biodiversity Department at the Environmental Center of the University of Aden. At Hadhramout University, he was the Director of the Honey Bee Center and the Director of the Date Palm and Dates Center, as well as the Dean of the College of Environment and Marine Biology. Since 2012, he has held the position of President of Hadhramout University.
Dr. Khanbash is distinguished in the field of bee research and beekeeping, having published over 120 scientific papers and authored nine books in this field, including “Honey Bees and Beekeeping in Yemen” and “Beekeeping and Honey Production in Yemen.” He contributed to developing the strategic plan for advancing beekeeping in Saudi Arabia and participated in over 80 local and international scientific conferences and seminars. He has received numerous awards, including the University of Aden Award for Scientific Research Encouragement and the Hadhramout Governorate Award for Scientific Innovation.

Dr. Gomaa Ali is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University (and Galala University), Egypt. He has 16 years of experience working in the research areas of materials science, humidity sensing, graphene, supercapacitors, water treatment, and drug delivery.
He was awarded his Ph.D. in Advanced Nanomaterials for Energy Storage from UMP, Malaysia. He is the recipient of some national and international prizes and awards such as TWAS-AREP (2018), ARSCO Award 2022, MKF-BUE excellence award, from BUE (2024), Individuals Award from ASRT, 2021, Obada International Prize (2021), Arab Water Council Award 2022, Gold Medal (Archimedes, Russia, 2014), Green Technology Award (CITREX, Malaysia, 2015), Gold Medal (BIS, UK, 2015).
Dr Gomaa has been included in Stanford University’s List of World’s Top 2% of Scientists, Egypt, 2020-2022. He has published over 150 articles and 30 book chapters. So far, he has more than 6100 citations and an h-index of 49. He is an Editor of many international journals and a reviewer for more than 100 WoS journals. He is a member of national and international scientific societies, such as TWAS Affiliate, AAS Affiliate, American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, the National Committee of Pure and Applied Chemistry, and the Egyptian Young Academy of Sciences, ASRT. الأستاذ الدكتور محمد سعيد حاصل على درجة التأهيل من جامعة محمد الخامس في عام 2015 ودكتوراه في الكيمياء العضوية من نفس الجامعة عام 2004. كما حصل على دبلوم دراسات معمقة في الكيمياء من جامعة محمد الخامس في عام 1997 وشهادة المتريز في الكيمياء وأخرى في الاقتصاد من جامعة نواكشوط.
لديه خبرة تدريسية واسعة، حيث عمل كأستاذ بكلية العلوم والتقنيات منذ عام 2009 وأستاذ جامعات منذ 2023. تولى عدة مناصب إدارية من مسؤول الأعمال التطبيقية بقسم الكيمياء، ومنسق شعبة الكيمياء والفيزياء، ورئيس قسم الكيمياء إلى نائب عميد كلية العلوم والتقنيات بجامعة نواكشوط. يشغل حالياً منصب عميد الكلية منذ 2021.
أشرف الدكتور على عدة أطروحات دكتوراه ورسائل ماجستير، كما شارك في العديد من لجان نقاش الدكتوراه ماجستير. له أكثر من عشرين مقالًا منشوراً في دوريات محكمة وشارك في العديد من المؤتمرات والملتقيات الدولية والوطنية. حاصل على جائزة شنقيط للعلوم في عام 2017 تقديرًا لإسهاماته العلمية.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Said holds a habilitation degree from Mohammed V University in 2015 and a PhD in organic chemistry from the same university in 2004. He also obtained a postgraduate diploma in chemistry from Mohammed V University in 1997, and bachelor’s degrees (La maîtrise) in chemistry and another in economics from the University of Nouakchott. He has extensive teaching experience, having worked as a professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology since 2009 and as a universities professor since 2023.
He has held several administrative positions, including Applied Business Officer in Chemistry Department, and a Coordinator of the Chemistry and Physics Department, than Head of the Chemistry Department, to Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Nouakchott. He currently holds the position of Dean of the Faculty since 2021.
Dr. Said has supervised several doctoral dissertations and master’s theses and has participated in numerous PhD and master’s thesis discussion committees. He has published more than twenty articles in peer-reviewed journals and participated in many international and national conferences and symposia. He received the Chinguetti Prize for Science in 2017 in recognition of his scientific contributions.

Ihab Hijazi is a prominent researcher and academic in the field of geographic information science. He holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Urban Engineering and City Technology at An-Najah National University in Palestine.
He is distinguished by his publication of more than 75 research papers in international journals and conferences and has received the award for best research paper at prestigious international conferences multiple times. He also received the “Towards Smart Arab Cities” award from the Arab Scientific Community Organization. His research interests revolve around smart cities and digital twins to achieve sustainable development. He has led many technical projects in Palestine using available technologies, contributing to the development of city infrastructure under limited conditions. He has utilized smartphone technologies and open-source software to achieve his goals. These projects reflect his interest in developing innovative and sustainable technical solutions that meet the needs of the local community and contribute to the development of city infrastructure in effective ways suitable for local conditions.

Dr. Feras Alasali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Hashemite University, Jordan. Currently, he serves as the Vice Dean of Student Affairs and Director of the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center at Hashemite University.
Dr. Alasali received his Ph.D. in Electrical Power Engineering and Energy from the University of Reading, UK. His research interests lie in the areas of smart electrical systems, energy storage systems, renewable energy, and power network protection systems. He also focuses on studying the effects of cyber-attacks on electrical networks. Additionally, he explores the use of emerging technologies such as machine learning in smart applications related to energy, water, agriculture, disaster management, mitigation and prediction. He has published over 45 peer-reviewed research papers in top international scientific journals and authored a specialized book on the use of modern and smart technologies in energy storage, published by Springer. Recently, the book has been translated into German. He has been selected as an editor for several specialized international scientific journals and is a keynote speaker at various regional and international conferences. He currently leads three research projects supported by local and international institutions in the fields of energy, water, and cyber-attacks. He has received number of the research and engineering awards, including the 2023 award from the Arab Scientific Community Organization.

بهاء الدين يوسف بلمكي (عضوIEEE) حصل على درجة الماجستير في الاتصالات اللاسلكية والشبكات من جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا هواري بومدين، الجزائر العاصمة، الجزائر في عام 2013، ودرجة الدكتوراه في الاتصالات اللاسلكية ومعالجة الإشارات من المعهد الوطني البوليتكنيك في تولوز (INPT)، تولوز، فرنسا، في عام 2020.
من 2013 إلى 2014، كان يعمل في قسم شبكة الوصول الراديوي، الجزائر. من 2014 إلى 2016، كان محاضراً في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا هواري بومدين. من 2019 إلى 2021، كان زميلاً في التدريس والبحث مع INPT. وهو حالياً زميل باحث ما بعد الدكتوراه في مختبر نظرية الاتصالات، جامعة الملك عبد الله للعلوم والتقنية، ثول، المملكة العربية السعودية. تدور اهتماماته البحثية حول الشبكات المركبية والشبكات غير الأرضية. وهو فائز في Falling walls lab لعام 2023 وتم تتويجه كموهبة صاعدة في Falling walls برلين 2023. في عام 2024، تم منحه جائزة منظمة المجتمع العلمي العربي (ARSCO). وقد حصل على زمالة الأكاديمية الوطنية للعلوم في الولايات المتحدة (US National Academy of Sciences).
BAHA EDDINE YOUCEF BELMEKKI (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. degree in wireless communications and networking from the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene, Algiers, Algeria, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in wireless communications and signal processing from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (INPT), Toulouse, France, in 2020. From 2013 to 2014, he was with the Department of Radio Access Network, Algiers.
From 2014 to 2016, he was a lecturer with the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene. From 2019 to 2021, he was a Teaching and Research Fellow with INPT. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Communication Theory Laboratory, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. His research interests revolve around vehicular networks and non-terrestrial networks. He is a Falling Walls Lab 2023 winner and was recognized as an Emerging Talent in the 2023 Berlin Falling Walls. In 2024, he was awarded the Arab Scientific Community Organization (ARSCO) award. He was awarded the U.S. National Academy of Sciences Fellowship.
